Formerly obese and unhappy, one day I decided I’d had enough. I’ve lost 160 lbs, become a 2x marathoner, triathlete, & I’m currently training for a 50 mile ultra marathon this August.
Getting happier & stronger each and every day.
It’s never too late to change your story.
“so difficult to believe this is what I have done
“I know I might have a bunch of before and afters now, but who the hell cares!?
“Hey guys! I’m 5’8 and currently 160lbs. I’ve been on such an incredible journey since I decided to start taking care of myself two years ago. I’ve said this many times but I want it to be made clear that I ALWAYS loved myself. I’ve always been beautiful BUT you can’t imagine how great it feels to not have that extra 50lbs on my joints! If you make the decision to change your lifestyle, do it for the right reasons! Don’t do it because you hate yourself. Work on your mental health first and once you’ve got that down, the rest will be cake. ;)
“43 lbs down!
Well, today is the day guys!
Less than a year into my weight loss journey, and I’ve officially lost 100 pounds.
The top left picture: 285. Top right picture: 270.
It’s been a long ride, but I’m so proud of myself right now! I know I have a long way still to go, but this is a huge milestone to me and I am so proud of what I’ve done with my life.
“November 2013 – May 2014 – July 2014
Feeling super strong and full of power!
Spring 2012 – Summer 2014
(between 90-100lbs lost)
I know that the most obvious change is my weight loss. But I have come to realize that the most important change that occurred in my life between these two time periods was the mental change. And you can honestly see it on my face. The three things I always reminded myself of:
What you think, you become.
Wether you think you can or cannot, you are right.
And, If you change your mind, you can change your life.
And I did:)
“My before and after. On my way to a change
Oh hey, look! A 4th of July themed comparison.
102 pound difference.
“hard work always pays off, never give up (:
Same girl I promise
Reminder to myself that I’m stronger than I think I am
“Getting closer to my goal, only 2.5lbs away! I started my fitness journey in March 2014 and I couldn’t be more happy w/ my results.
Because fuck yes, that’s why.
“Lately I’ve been slacking. So today when I was working out, I had the wave of motivation when I remembered how it felt to even step foot on a treadmill.. I promise I’m going to get #better #faster and #stronger.. I refuse to go back to what I used to be.. #COMEATMEBRO
When I have crappy days, am lacking motivation, or feel like I haven’t moved anywhere in ages (me right now), I look to see how far I have come, and I know I am capable of even better things!
At the end of the day, eating clean and moving my butt (biking, just back into running, high intensity interval training, and weightlifting for me) was my road to success!
