Progress, 10 months. 44 lbs/20 kg

I am so proud of myself. These pics were taken in March 2014 and today June 2014. Seeing progress and getting closer and closer to your goal is an amazing feeling.

About a 3 month difference. I’m shocked at how much smaller I’ve gotten with out really realizing it.

Before and after!

From last year to this year! My life changed the moment I decided I was worth it and that I deserved to be happy, because for such a long time I wasn’t. I hated the way I looked to re point where I would stay inside and avoid doing fun things with friends, because I hated trying to find something to wear that wouldn’t make me feel fat. One day I was just over it. I was over missing out on such a beautiful, exciting world because of being unhappy with myself. So I changed my lifestyle, got off my ass and made a change. It was the best decision I’ve ever made, because I’m happier now than I could have ever imagined being a year ago. If I can do it, I swear so can you!

Transformation Tuesday!
171-141 in 3 months!

Feeling self confident and happy is my true reward for hard work and determination.

I realize I’ve lost almost 100 lbs but it boggles my mind that people I’ve known for years, but also have not seen for years, do not recognize me when they see me. Like, I still have the same face :/

Transformation Tuesday! He lost 50lbs and I lost 140lbs!

These are taken two years apart.

The before picture is from my 20th birthday (I turn 23 next month), and I have to say the most important thing my 20s have taught me so far is how to properly take care of myself, both physically and mentally. I learned just how important eating nutritious food is for your body, both inside and out. I learned that while I may not be coordinated enough for sports, I’m pretty athletic and enjoy things like running and lifting weights. I learned that there is no need to keep people in your life who only add drama and negativity and don’t support you. I learned that there are going to be tough times, that’s life, but those tough times will pass and getting through them is easier with a positive attitude. Most importantly I learned that you really need to love yourself, no matter what shape or size you may be, because at the end of the day you’re gonna be stuck with yourself for the rest of your life so you may as well be your own best friend and someone you can be proud of.

Updated Progress Post: From 2011 to 2014, from ~200 pounds to ~130 pounds now (lowest weight was 122). It took me a year to lose the majority of it, since then I have been maintaining, gaining muscle, and getting even healthier. I am a certified personal trainer now and have written a full guide to losing weight and getting healthy here. I also offer online and in-person training, which you can read about here! There was a point where all I wanted was to be skinny, now all I want is to be healthy. Soon to be a group fitness and yoga instructor as well, getting in shape has completely changed my life (I used to be in Culinary School for baking and pastry and now I’m a personal trainer? what?) and daily I try to inspire others and help them make that change.

Throwback Thursday

On the Left – around 5 years ago – I think close to 390lbs (I had no scales)

On the Right – Last year getting ready for the Colour Run – around 250lbs

Still got a long way to go, ups and down, never broken

I gotta remember where I started and how far I’ve come.

These two pictures were taken a year apart. Now, I lost about 25 pounds of fat while losing weight, but then when I started lifting, I gained a lot of weight in muscle! So I am around 135 now, I don’t really weigh myself, and I am 5’ 3”, but I have cut my body fat percentage in half!

For a while I felt like I wasn’t making much back progress… Then I took a look at where I was just four months ago… Who am I kidding

I’m not finished my journey yet but this my progress from September to April so far.

90lbs down. I don’t think I’ll get tired of posting before/during pictures for a while, I just love getting to actually see that progress.

From 207lbs to 138lbs. (I am 5’6)

Finally feeling comfortable and hot in my own body.

If I was able to do it that you can too.

5 months’ progress, 18 kg difference between pictures… Running, lifting, fighting… Getting there :)

Follow me on my journey!

My weight loss over the past 9 months. I even “grew” an inch because my back isn’t swayed out from all the fucking fat. 116 lbs gone forever! Please don’t judge or laugh. I’ve kicked my ass to lose this weight and I’m gonna keep going!!

“The only time you should look back is to see how far you’ve come”

Today, I am celebrating 3 years since I first began this journey.  I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and determined to go even further.  I’ve lost a total of 70 pounds in 3 years and have been able to keep it off.

My advice to everyone wanting to lose weight or be fit is that you can’t rely on a magic pill to shed off the pounds.  It takes some time, patience and a lot sweat!

Can’t believe these photos are exactly a year apart. I can’t help but feel so proud of myself :)

Height: 5’5

Starting Weight: 172

Current Weight: 139

Goal: No main weight goal, but I’m almost at my goal to be a size 9 in pants/shorts!

Sitting down comparison. Sometimes I forget how different I look. So proud of my accomplishment:)

230 lbs – 145 lbs

Butt and leg progress! Thanks running.

Finally broke down & bought new scrubs! And drum roll please, I am down two sizes! 67.8 lbs down!

I’m down 19 lbs and It feels pretty good (180 to 161)

Today is official.

I am finally 134lbs.

You don’t even know how long i’ve been waiting for be under the 135lbs.

And now it’s finally here.

After 207lbs it feels like heaven to me.

Cannot be more happier.

I am 5’6’ btw.

Don’t stop!

I look at the picture on the left and feel the back pain and heavy breathing and constant discomfort and I thank myself for making a change. It has been a long bumpy road with some real low points and I still have a but to go but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I just need a lot of money to magically appear in my bank account to get that front pooch of skin removed.

Highest weight- 75kgs
Current weight- HAPPY
